The large number of neophyte runners from the Dark Side, where a cure for cancer and solving overpronation are considered equally important, stared in amazement at what they were seeing. Some giggled and laughed nervously. Others shook their heads and wondered what was happening. Many had a rather bemused look on their faces. A few weren't quite sure what to make of it.

Welcome to the Calgary hash at Friar's in Glenmore Landing, where solo hare Krusty laid a live trail that wound its way through Hoidy- Toidyville on a mild early December evening.

"These people have servants' quarters that are bigger than my house," Whale Wanker said as he slogged through snow-covered streets, amid the BMWs and the Mercedes-Benzes. And a lot of other peoples' houses as well, no doubt about it.

After setting the trail, Krusty tried to encourage the newbie runners from the Dark Side to attend a hash by passing out hash business cards that he forgot he'd had in his truck for the past six years or so. Perhaps Krusty's efforts will overcome Tiny Bubbles' invitation to the poor, unsuspecting people.
