Run #1082 - Christmas Eve Eve

December 16, 2002

Hares: Krusty and Burning Rubber
Where: Bull &Finch, 13226 Macleod Trail S
Attendance: 31

It was a small but enthusiastic bunch that turned up for the Christmas Eve Eve trail. Burning Rubber - despite feeling like she had been run over by a truck, stomped by Santa's rein deer, and then stuffed in a sack (or was that had a sack stuffed in her head) showed up to give us the mandatory chalk talk. The hare Krusty was no where in sight, having to work until after the run was over. That may had contributed to the run being very well over by the time Krusty finally made it to the bar. We started out south, turned to the west, went one block north, and then could not find the trail despite flashlights, checking every nook and cranny in the dark back alleys, and check backs on every street. Finally Dreary spotted a faint blue H with blue On In about 20 feet away from it, and in the direction of the bar. Blowing his horn, he made a beeline back to the warmth of the bar and beer, with almost all of the rest of the pack in hot pursuit. I say almost, for the walkers started out doing the trail backwards, thinking they would turn around when they met the rest of the pack running towards them. Whoops! Bad move. They probably did almost the entire trail twice, for after walking for 25 minutes they turned around, and walked back they way they had come. Burning Rubber told us it was a short trail, but it turned out to be 15 minutes for the runners, 45 minutes for the walkers. Good to see that reversed for once.

Back at the On In, Knobby and Neon had their carol sheets out again. Dreary, On In and others (sorry, I forget who you are) tried to lead the hash through the carol sheet - sometimes with success, sometimes without. Numerous down downs were given out. If you got one and can remember, good for you. If you didn't get one and can't remember, then you must have had a good time too. If you weren't there, then hopefully you had a good time, because everyone who was there did.

The On After broke up with everyone (not just Dreary) giving everyone else hugs and wishes for a good Christmas.

Anyone want to do a write up on Boxing Day who was there?

Dreary
