Grey Cup Sunday...
It was a fine afternoon for a day of Hashing, and with the addition of a football game, munchies, Big TV and of course lots of beer the day was looking even better.
We had to wait a while for everyone to show up, no thanks to the directions on the Hot line plus On In had the instruction sheets out to help him assemble the baby runner. You'd think he would know how to do this by now. We finally circled and did the into thing and then the pack was getting cold waiting for On In and Super Soaker so off we bolted. The air was crisp and cool and very windy, which was to be expected for the Hawkwood Area. The run was set with mostly traditional markings except for On was always an H with an arrow ((((. One thing was for sure, it would be impossible to hash this backwards.
Because of the size of group I was actually fropping a lot, and boy things look different from the front. I actually saw a lot more of TPL's legs than usual, but on the down side I did not get to see the variety I usually get to see. The run was a big circle with some long check backs and through a park and back toward the ONIN.
Stranger was host to this years Grey Cup party and with good reason. He owns a completely empty house except for the 52" Big Screen TV which was rented for the occasion. I think Stranger was a little worried that he was getting more than just guests for a couple of hours when Cocktail brought with him a coffee table, big chair and a cooler. It looked as if he was moving in.
Skewbic Hair was not present so we were blessed with King Shit as RA for the day. Down Downs went to:
The Hare - Stranger for a great run and party place
On In - for his Engineering abilities
TPL - for running all the check backs
Benwa - for whining about her stomach and the fact that she ate before hashing. King Shit gave her an Oreo Cookie and a beer. (just for the record Benwa has no idea on the proper way to eating an Oreo Cookie) King Shit ended up drinking the remainder of her beer.
Thrifty Sumpyton - was heard remarking "It's a perfectly good shoe", when someone commented on the condition of his shoes. He then was presented with his shoe full of beer to Down with a cup to capture the beer running out of the many holes. Can't have any wastage.
On On was then announced.
We settled down to watch a Foot Ball Game, eat natchos and drink lots of beer. A pool was made which helped to put a little excitement into the game. The big winners are:
1st Quarter - Cocktail $5
2nd Quarter - On In $10
3rd Quarter - White Balls $5
Final - Moonshine $16
I don't know about the rest of them but I had big plans for my winnings.
A big thank you to Stranger for hosting a great party.
