Cochrane was established in 1881 as the Cochrane Ranche by Senator Matthew Henry Cochrane.
Party at Perfesser's! Camp for Free
As it happens, Perfesser will be hosting a party on his acreage that very day
and he has invited Stampede Hashers to join him.
Perfesser has also offered camping space for all attendees...

Where's Perfesser's Place?
It's in
Bearspaw.
Oddly enough,
Perfesser and Jock don't want directions to their place plastered all over the internet.
We want to respect their privacy, so
Stampede Hashers will be given directions at the run in Cochrane.
If you can't attend the run, please contact the Stampede Hash organizers.
Drinking & Driving
- The minimum penalty for drunk driving in Alberta is a
one year license suspension and a $1000 fine. You'll also have to
take a responsible drinking course (which you pay for), pay your
lawyer and pay much higher insurance premiums. Camping is
significantly less expensive... as a matter of fact, it's free
- Hand Over Your Car Keys.
To discourage drunk drivers leaving Perfesser's place,
please hand in your car keys when you arrive
- Designated Drivers will be identified by an arm band.
If we see you wearing an arm band and with a drink in your hand
you won't get your car keys back.
